Reset Jelly — Jelly-to-Oil Cleanser
Overview
Reset Jelly is the first step of a routine that does not fight your skin. It starts as a thick, springy amber jelly in the tube — the texture is deliberate, because a runny cleansing oil drips off your face before it can do any work. The moment it meets warm skin and your fingertips, the jelly collapses into a light, slippery oil that spreads easily and grabs onto the things water alone cannot move: mineral sunscreen filters, long-wear foundation, sebum that has oxidised by the end of the day, and the fine layer of city grime that sits on top of everything.
Add a splash of water and the oil turns milky and rinses completely. That transformation is the whole trick. We built the emulsifier system so it activates at roughly body temperature and breaks at the moment you rinse, which means it leaves no slick film behind and no need for a second cleanser. One step, one pass, out.
Who It's For
Every skin type, including skin that reacts to everything. It is genuinely good for dry and dehydrated skin because it does not remove the lipids you need, and it is equally good for oily and breakout-prone skin because the oils we chose are light and highly rinseable. If you wear SPF daily — and you should — this is the cleanser that actually takes it off.
The Formula
The base is a blend of sunflower seed oil, jojoba oil and caprylic/capric triglyceride, chosen for a light skin feel and a low comedogenic profile rather than for a marketing story. Oat kernel oil brings beta-glucans that calm visible redness while you cleanse. A small amount of glycerin stays behind on the skin after rinsing, so the thirty seconds between the sink and your serum are not spent losing water.
There is no fragrance, no essential oil, no colourant and no drying alcohol. The faint warm scent is the oils themselves, and it fades within seconds.
How To Use
Dispense a cherry-sized amount into dry hands. Press onto dry skin and massage for 45–60 seconds — take the time, the jelly needs warmth and friction to break down. Splash with lukewarm water to emulsify into a milk, then rinse. Pat dry. Use it as your evening first cleanse, or as a single cleanse on mornings when your skin does not need more.
Pro tip: if you wear heavy eye makeup, press the jelly over closed eyes and let it sit for 15 seconds before massaging. Do not rub.
